This month we will cover an important topic for you and your family: the safety measures you need to take when purchasing a new furnace for your mobile home. These tips include the model and size of your house, the space where the furnace will be, and the appropriate installation requirements. 1. Don't install a conventional house furnace in your mobile home.
Mobile home furnaces have specific characteristics that make them fit for such homes. To ensure your home's safety, you need to make sure you buy the furnace that best suits your MH size and model, the size of the air ducts, furnace space, and corners of your home; otherwise, your furnace may struggle to perform. 2. Have a licensed technician install your furnace.
Some companies may allow you to purchase a furnace over the counter or via the internet, but, as a consumer, 
you need to be careful going this route. People may do this to save money because they think furnaces are not affordable, but the truth is, they CAN be affordable as many major companies have financing available. (Like us!)
Keep in mind that most manufacturers explicitly prohibit customers from installing heating and air conditioning themselves, and will often void any warranties if not installed professionally. Plus, there is a serious safety concern for improper installation due to gas leaks or carbon monoxide poisoning. Having an HVAC expert in manufactured homes is the best way to go when making sure your furnace is installed correctly and following all the necessary protocols like calibrating the orifices to match the altitude you're at to prevent problems. Please, make sure to read the fine print before making a purchase.
3. Check your furnace regularly
With regular maintenance, and fixing problems as they appear, you should expect 12-15 years of service from your furnace. If you have one older than that, it would be advisable to have it tested for carbon monoxide leaks. Also, replacing or cleaning your furnace filter every 30 days will provide the best performance and life. Tip: Every time you receive your gas bill, check your furnace filter!

Este mes hablaremos sobre un tema importante para ti y tu familia: las medidas de seguridad al comprar una calefacción nueva para tu casa móvil. 3. Revisa tu calefacción regularmente.
Con
manteniemiento constante y al arreglear los problemas que se vayan presentando,
tu calefacción podría durar entre 12-15 años. Si tienes uno más viejo,
considera revisarlo por alguna fuga de monóxido de cabono. Al limpiar o cambiar
el filtro de la calefacción cada 30 días, ayudarás a que funcione mejor y por
más tiempo.
